Don’t you just hate when complete strangers (for the vast majority of you) make a promise that they are going to start a new feature on Friday and then forget all about until Saturday. I know I do….
So with that in mind, hey I’m starting a new feature here today that will happen every Friday (when I remember). I’m going to pick a random category and present you my top 5 of that category. Maybe it will be favorite songs. Maybe it will be favorite movies. A lot of them will be favorite characters in a TV show. And that’s actually where we are going to start off today.
So today will be the Top Five characters in HBO’s Game Of Thrones. Now for a show that is still on the air such as this one, there might be spoilers ahead. So read on at your own risk.
Honorable Mentions: Hodor. Samwell Tarly. Jorah Mormont
Number 5: Ned Stark
He would clearly be higher on the list if he didn’t meet his demise early on in the run of the show. He was a loyal (most of the time) husband and father, just trying to get ahead in the world. Instead, he lost his head.
Number 4: Jaime Lannister
Speaking of loyal father, you’ve got Jaime. You might not agree with his choice of women, but we have seen him go to the ends of Westeros to protect his family. He’s the only member of the family who treats his brother with any sort of respect. And he’s a hell of a fighter, regardless if he has one hand or two.
Number 3: Arya Stark
Talk about a little spitfire. You could tell Arya she can’t do something, and she will prove you wrong by any means necessary. You definitely want to stay on her good side, or else she will put you on her list. And in case you haven’t noticed, a lot of the people on her list are gone.
Number 2: Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish
Here’s a guy that you just never know what he’s thinking. He’s dangerous in every sense of the word. He’s not a fighter, but he’s not against cheating or hiring someone to get what he’s after. What is he after? Well, that we do not know. Yet.
Number 1: Tyrion Lannister
Was there any doubt that Tyrion would be number one on the list? It would be easy for him to just lay down and die. His entire family has given up on him. He’s an Imp. He has been called every name in the book. I think my favorite scene with him is when he’s giving a huge speech to rally the soldiers trying to protect his home. And they charge into battle, knocking poor Tyrion out in the process.
There you have it. My top 5 characters in Game of Thrones. Who are your favorite characters? Let me know in the comments below.
Have a good one everybody!
