The reason my books are not in book stores.

Good afternoon. Hope you’re having a great day.So yeah, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I have three books out now. All in the span of less than a year! I’ve taken the last month off from writing for that exact reason as I prepped my last book for release.

I started to think what I could do to sell more books. I mean I know for a fact I’m never going to be a big famous author. And that’s okay. That’s not the reason why I write. Would it be nice? Of course it would. If it happened, would I refuse it? I’d have to be dumb to do something like that.

One way that I thought about being able to sell more books was to have them available in a book store. I mean who wouldn’t want to walk into a Barnes & Noble and find their own book on display. There is an option where I can do that. But to do that, I would need to raise the prices of my books. And I’m talking a considerable amount.

I refuse to. Just between me and you, I haven’t earned that right. I’m a new author with a total of three books on the market. I keep my prices low because I know there are a lot of options for people who are looking to read out there. I want you to spend your money on me.

Perhaps when I write a book that sells a certain amount, I would consider it. I haven’t yet. I’m realistic in my expectations. Maybe I will make it my goal in the near future, but right now I am happy to sell my books through Amazon.

  1. Maybe you should focus on improving your writing first. Your stories seem interesting but your friends aren’t doing you any favors if they keep giving you 5 star reviews. Take a class or something and focus on quality over quantity.

    1. I understand what you’re saying, Gabby. I have never asked for five star reviews from anyone. I want people to review my books honestly. As far as focusing on quality over quantity, I personally don’t think I’m flooding the market with books. Each one has taken me several months to write. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Have a good day.
